💾 Data Stored Locally

The extension stores a small amount of data locally in your browser using Chrome's Storage API. This data never leaves your device:

Saved search presets — your saved locations, keywords, and device preferences (up to 10 items)
Settings — selected region, language, search results count, and theme preference
Session data — temporary tab identifiers for active geo-search tabs, cleared when the browser is closed

🔑 Permissions Explained

The extension requires specific Chrome permissions to function. Here's why each one is needed:

tabs Track which tabs have geo-search active to apply correct settings

contextMenus Add "Search with region" to the right-click menu

webRequest Modify User-Agent header for device emulation on Google searches

declarativeNetRequest Apply location and device parameters to Google search requests

🌐 Host Access

The extension only accesses www.google.com to modify search parameters (location, language, device type). It does not access, read, or modify content on any other websites.

👥 Third Parties

This extension does not share any data with third parties. There are no embedded analytics, advertising SDKs, or external service integrations. The only external interaction is Google Search, initiated by the user.
